From the moment we met Yessie and Jose, we could see how much love they had for each other. They both have such warm and friendly personalities that we instantly hit it off with them. We couldn’t wait to see everything come together for their big day! They wanted to go for a Modern Romantic Wedding vibe in the Orpheum Ballroom at Hotel Indigo.

Getting Ready

Yesenia and Jose decided to get married on November 2nd which is also known as Día de los Muertos in Mexican culture. Día de los Muertos is a day in which your loved ones are remembered, and in a way, this day makes them be present with you. This is why the day started with Jose visiting his father at the cemetery. It was important to him to have a moment to include his father in such a special day. Yessenia spent the morning getting ready with her family at the Hotel Indigo in Downtown Los Angeles.

Ceremony

The couple opted to not have a first look, so the ceremony would be the first time they saw each other. The ceremony took place at the beautiful Saint Felicitas & Perpetua Church in San Marino.

Photos

Immediately following the ceremony, the couple left to Pasadena City Hall for pictures. Michael Anthony Photography did such a great job capturing their couple portraits.

Cocktail Hour + Reception

Yessie and Jose wanted to be sure to incorporate their Mexican heritage into their wedding. So, it was important for them to have a Mariachi at their wedding. They decided to hire the world-famous, Mariachi Sol de Mexico to play during their cocktail hour and the beginning of their reception. Cocktail hour took place in the Palace/Olympic/Globe rooms and connecting outdoor terrace.

After cocktail hour, guests were escorted to the Orpheum Ballroom for dinner and dancing. They even got the most incredible serenade by the Mariachi. The rich navy linen and soft florals in the contemporary ballroom created such a modern romantic wedding at Hotel Indigo.

We are so happy that we were a part of Yessie and Jose’s big day and wish them a lifetime of love and happiness!
