Traditional Wedding | Castaway Burbank

We are so excited to bring you Melissa and Kurt’s romantic traditional wedding that was held at The Castaway in Burbank, California. Their wedding had a classic blush and navy color scheme. In addition, they hosted a wedding with the perfect fusion of tradition with a fun atmosphere.

Getting Ready and Photos

Melissa and Kurt started their wedding day at The Langham in Pasadena. Both the groomsmen and bridesmaids got ready in their respective suites. Subsequently, the wedding party departed for Cal Tech for first look. They also took wedding party photos at Cal Tech. The traditional Spanish mission architecture was the perfect backdrop for the pre-ceremony photos.

Ceremony

Wedding guests witnessed Melissa and Kurt get married under a gazebo overlooking the Burbank hills. The couple encouraged an unplugged ceremony. Consequently, the officiant walked guests through the couples’ cultural traditions like the Filipino rose ceremony. After the ceremony guests enjoyed cocktail hour in the courtyard.

Reception

Finally, guests found their personalized escort cards and made their way to their seats. The ballroom boasted gorgeous chandeliers and floral centerpieces of differing heights. Vibe Florals executed the bride’s vision perfectly with blush quicksand roses, blue thistles, and white anemones.

During the entire reception, the Lucky Devils Band kept the wedding guests on the dance floor. People were out of their seats all night. The couple even had a custom cigar bar for their wedding guests to enjoy on the patio. The Cigar Guys setup the cigar station with a wide selection of cigar offerings. They even provided custom matchbooks for the weddings guests to take home.

It was a night full of dancing and excitement that mirrored the couples’ personalities so perfectly. Everything from the lively five-piece band, to the classic décor. In addition, they had late night surprises. It was the perfect way to celebrate the union of two wonderful individuals. Every detail served for a perfect representation of the couple’s traditional wedding at the Castaway Burbank.
