We’re so excited to share Christine and Jordan’s Malibou Lake Lodge Wedding. Christine and Jordan were such a sweet couple to work with. Their intimate and laid-back wedding centered around their traditions and family. Subsequently, the rustic-chic style of The Lodge at Malbou Lake, all the details fell into place to create a magical evening.

Getting Ready

Most of Christine’s family traveled to California from Canada to celebrate with the couple on their big day. However, with their arrival landing only the day before the wedding, there was little time for catching up. Thankfully, the private getting ready suites at The Lodge at Malibou Lake were large enough to accommodate the out-of-towners. They were all able to catch up while the wedding party got ready.  

First Look

We found a small path surrounded by trees that was perfect space for the First Look. Most importantly, this kept their first look intimate. All the while allowing the couple a chance to have some time together before the ceremony began.

Ceremony and Cocktail Hour

The ceremony was a perfect mix of traditions. We absolutely loved that both the bride and groom walked down the aisle with their mother and father. The ceremony featured a handmade chuppah passed down from Jordan’s parent’s wedding. Further, it incorporated the groom’s Jewish traditions. They also chose to have a traditional Scottish hand-fasting ceremony to include the bride’s Scottish traditions. The hand-fasting ceremony provided the couple’s family an opportunity to bless their marriage.

After the ceremony, guests were invited to partake in cocktail hour. The cocktails were hosted on the front porch of The Lodge. Followed by a reception indoors.

Reception

The Lodge at Malibou Lake provided impeccable service with a remarkable family style dinner. Vox DJ’s kept the energy high with DJ and photo booth services. The evening was filled with food, bar and great music. We even incorporated a Hora into the evening. Followed by a night filled with dancing and lasting memories!
